The central message of the editorial highlights the fundamental ethical and moral principles researchers must embody when using artificial intelligence (AI) tools in scientific writing. This is especially relevant given the disruptive impact of these technologies, which now number over 24,000 systems grouped into more than 300 categories. Consequently, it is essential for professionals across disciplines to adopt a critical perspective on AI use and carefully evaluate the potential advantages and disadvantages of its application in scientific research.
